The Barians, including the Kamishiro Parents, invite Astral, and his “parents” for dinner. Basically, a sequel to your story.

“You look great, Ryoga.” Rio complimented. “Although, maybe you should wear a ponytail to tie your hair back.”

“Yeah, yeah… Vector, please be on your best behavior. I don’t want Astral to become upset if you do something foolish in front of his… parents.” Shark instructed. His family (Barians+Kamishiros) invited Astral, Eliphas, and Ena to dinner. Astral accepted, Ena had no problem, but Eliphas… it took awhile to convince him. Eventually, they succeeded.

“Also, if you do anything foolish, you know who’s not going to forgive you.” Shark adds. Vector then gulped at the thought of being brutally beaten by Rio, Shark’s twin sister. Rio was surprised to learn that her brother and Astral were dating, but was really happy. So, she wanted Vector to not ruin her brother’s relationship with Astral.

“Fine.” Vector grumbled, putting away his water gun, full of acid from Barian World. Durbe helped the Kamishiro’s mom cook, and Mizael was with Durbe, and the Kamishiro’s dad, arranging books in the library. Alit and Gilag were watching television, and Vector went outside to blow up some poor birds instead. They decided to leave them be.

“Don’t worry, Ryoga. Everything will be fine.” Rio assured him. “Mom and Dad already like Astral, Vector and Astral seem to be on good terms now, and the rest are okay with Astral.”

“The problem is… Eliphas doesn’t really like me. He even glared at me when I held Astral’s hand!” Shark remembered how Eliphas nearly blasted his head off when Shark’s face was a little too close for Eliphas’ liking.

Rio sighed. “Ryoga. Ena likes you. Maybe she’ll convince him to just.. ya know, like you.”

-Later-

A blue haired boy with mismatched eyes stood in front of the manor. He was wearing a long sleeved white shirt, light blue pants, with yellow stars, and black shoes. He was also pale.

The woman beside him was wearing a long white dress, with blue sandals. She wore a blue necklace, and she wore silver earrings.

The man, wore a plain white shirt, black pants, and black shoes. He also had mismatched eyes, but his was orange and green, unlike the boy’s white and gold. He also had long blonde hair.

Astral went near the doorbell, and clicked the button. After a few seconds, a boy wearing glasses came outside, being followed by a blonde.

“Ah, Astral.” He greeted.

“Good evening Durbe. Good evening Mizael.” Astral greeted.

“So… you finally learned how to turn human by your own will?” Mizael asked. Astral nodded.

“Well, get in. Ryoga’s a bit nervous.” Durbe said, earning a chuckle. Ena had to drag Eliphas inside, considering he insisted that “he’ll stay outside”. Once they went inside, Astral saw Mr. Kamishiro putting books inside the bookshelves, Alit staring at the knight’s armor, Gilag playing with Ponta, Vector drawing on the walls, and Shark shaking, with Rio patting his back.

“A-Astral..” Shark stuttered. Astral then ran in front of Shark, and smiled.

“Good evening Ryoga. Good evening Rio. Thank you again for inviting us for dinner.” Astral said politely. Rio smiled.

“No problem, Astral. Remember, if Ryoga is giving you a hard time, tell me, and I’ll fix it up for ya!” Rio said with a wink. Astral laughed a bit, then stared at Shark for awhile.

“…Look. I know Eliphas doesn’t like you a lot, but I promise Ena will do something about this.” Astral assured him. Rio then went near Ena and Eliphas, who were quietly arguing.

“Eliphas, for the last time: Show Astral that you care about him, even a little bit! And that’s why you are staying with us!” Ena yelled at him. Of course, she cared about Astral a lot, but Eliphas just wouldn’t show it. She tried to make him swallow his pride, and just be a little bit open to his emotions. Even Chris Arclight shows much more emotion than Eliphas himself!

“The person he’s with is a Barian. How’d you think I’d react after I found out that—”

“Excuse me.” Rio interrupted. “I’m Rio, Ryoga’s twin sister. You met Durbe and Mizael already. The one playing with the tanuki is Gilag, the tanuki is Ponta, The one acting like an idiot is Alit, the other idiot drawing on the walls is Vector, and that’s our father.”

“Nice to meet you, Ms. Rio.” Ena said politely. “I should thank you and your brother for making Astral happier. He already has a human family, a best friend, and now, he has a boyfriend.”

“Ah, no problem. Ryoga was always bugging me on how he should confess, so I just practically threw him out of the window, and threatened to never let him in until he confesses.” Rio says casually.

She had mixed feelings about that.

“Guys! Time to eat!” Alit yelled.

The table was full of people. Ena sat next to Eliphas, Shark was between Rio and Astral, Alit and Gilag were next to each other, with Vector in Gilag’s left side, and Mizael was next to Durbe. Mr. Kamishiro sat next to Mizael, and there was also an empty chair: For his wife.

Ms. Kamishiro eventualy came out, and asked Alit and Gilag to help her carry the food on the table. She kinda overdid it herself.

The food was good, everyone thought. Ena actually forced Eliphas to eat, since he never ate earth food before. Astral went straight for the rice, and Shark was careful to pick food that didn’t contain green peppers or onions. Alit and Gilag liked meat, so they went straight for the chicken. Rio picked everything in a weird way, making her plate like an art piece. Vector picked carrots, and a few other vegetables, and made a Vector stickman out of veggies. Mizael picked shrimp and some eggs, while Durbe took veggies, rice, and some meat, for a “balanced meal”.

“So, Astral..” Ms. Kamishiro started. “When did you and Reginald started dating?”

Regi-wha…?

“…You mean Ryoga?” Astral asked. Shark literally buried his face in his plate, blushing, while the others watched.

“I’m calling him Reginald.” Vector said.

“Me too.” Alit said.

“Me three.” Gilag joined in.

“Hm.. a month, two and a half weeks, and two days after the war.” Astral said. “I already learned how to turn human back then, so I found him sitting on a bench muttering something while I was outside.”

“That’s because Rio kicked me out when I had trouble confessing.” Shark sighed, while Rio chuckled. Ena then set down her fork.

“So, Ryoga-san.. What do you like about Astral?” Ena asked.

Eliphas and Shark nearly choked when they heard that question.

“Come ta think of it, you never told us.” Alit said.

“So… what is it, Ryoga?” Mizael asked, smirking. Even Durbe was smirking at him.

Gilag and Alit’s face was full of curiosity, while Vector was simply looking like a smug-maniac. Mr. Kamishiro and Ms. Kamishiro was smiling. Ena had a determined look on her face, while Eliphas… looked interested.

Rio was staring at Shark, grinning. Astral was blushing, and his face was buried in his hands.

“…He acts cute.” Ryoga said, blushing. Astral’s face was so red, it was like he was a red Astral being.

All the Barians teased him about it, Ena and Ms. Kamishiro squealed, Mr. Kamishiro laughed, and Eliphas chuckled softly. Shark was surprised. Was his answer silly?

After dinner, Ena and Eliphas went back to Astral World, leaving Astral in earth, because he wanted to. He could stay anywhere he wished, after all. The Tenjo Tower, Tsukumo Residence, Arclight Mansion, or simply with Shark and the rest.

And he picked the latter.

Alit and Gilag were already fast aleep, Rio was in her room chatting on the phone, Durbe was at the library, Mizael went outside for fresh air, Vector was at the basement doing who-knows-what, and the Kamishiro parents were at their room, leaving Astral and Shark.

He and Astral watched an episode of Esper Robin, and Astral had already fallen asleep. Sighing, he carried Astral to his room. Once he got there, he plopped Astral down on the bed, and just stared at his desk.

Duel Disk, Deck, a picture of him, Astral, Yuma, Kaito, Kotori, Haruto, and Rio in an amusement park… He then stared at Astral, who was sleeping adorably.

He smiled a bit. Oh well. Maybe his little comment made Eliphas like him a bit.
